Visual Learning: Julia Reeve

Julia illustrates how the creative art students develop the academic writing and critical awareness through the Writing Pad blogging and the Reframing Research techniques.

These methods allow a deeper engagement by the students to overcome  barriers to learning relating to lack of confidence in academic skills.

The Writing Pad enables students to engage with the growth of writing skills and benefiting from peer learning.  The process develops through reflection and feedback, this proving a useful tool to promote inclusivity and improving critical awareness in written work.

The Re-framing Research techniques revolve around creative workshops usual visual ‘mood’ boards to develop ideas for assessments.
