The second Great Ideas for Student Employability conference at De Montfort University took place on Wednesday, 8th June 2016.
Take a look at the 2016 conference programme. It included:
- 15 presentations by staff and students from all faculties
- 1 practical workshop
- A plenary panel reviewing employability activities and looking to the future
- Opportunities for networking
- Plus refreshments, including a light lunch
The 2015 conference was a great success, with over 60 attendees enjoying a range of presentations from academics, professional services and student representatives across the university. The conference supported work undertaken as part of the development of the DMU authored ‘Defining employability in higher education’ HEA resource: https://www.heacademy.ac.uk/resource/defining-employability-higher-education
In 2016 we extended the programme to include greater student engagement, a wider range of presentation methods and more sessions.
We thank everyone involved for their contributions to the Great Ideas for Student Employability conference, and following discussions and feedback we are already planning more ‘great ideas’ for next year’s event.
